More fall fun

It's fall and my busiest time of year for family photos. I haven't done any weddings lately, which is good because the more pregnant I get the less I want to chase after a bride and groom. Chasing after a family is much more fun and a little less tiring, plus kids will only smile for so long so it's usually a quick shoot. Here's a starter picture, I took my friends family to the local trail and at the end we got this picture, I like that it's a little dark and you can get the feel of the night coming on with your best buddies. I only processed the one last night and will post more when I get them done. I really liked the feel of it so tell me what you think. Thanks, Amy

Fall Fun

So my husband has jokingly called this one "frustration" if you look closely you can see a fishing lure stuck in a tree. I waited to try and get a fish jumping out of the water but they were feeling camera shy. Oh well, I still like the reflection and the unused lure waiting for the nonexistent bite.

Setting the self timer and getting my pregnant self into a well composed picture was a bit of a challenge, but I love the light in this picture and everyone is mostly happy.

My cute DD found this leaf and loved it, I love her expression.

This is the cute Gasaway family, they were so fun to shoot.

The Tompsons were also a great shoot. The kids did really well smiling for the camera, it's such a hard thing to do.

Hi All,
I've had a couple of great shoots recently. I took pictures of the Thomson Family and the Gasaway Family and then did our own family pictures. I had such a fun time with each family, their pictures turned out great and I'm excited to keep doing more. Hope you all are having a great fall. Love, Amy

catching up

These apples were at the market as well, they just looked so tasty, it must be fall :)

I did an article for the paper and took this at the local farmers market. They were such a happy family enjoying everything there, it was fun to see them having such a good time.

These are all my nephews and kids for my mom's Christmas picture. She wanted to send this with her cards, it was a crazy shoot, but so fun and amazingly most of the kids are looking the right way, we had so much fun with the kids. It really turned out great.

This is my dear friend, she came from Mass, so we had to take pictures, this is my fav!!! Thanks Kathleen!

One afternoon we took these pics at the park for a neighborhood family, this is one of my favorites, just because they were having so much fun playing.

It's no good to feel tired and pregnant though. It leaves me not wanting to update pictures which is bad. Here are some recent pictures I've taken. Enjoy. Amy

Wind Farm

This photo was featured on the front page of the Sapnish Fork Press. It was huge. I learned so much about wind farms, I think we should build more. Enjoy, Amy

Weddings, Weddings

I've had interesting wedding experiences lately. I read an article interviewing wedding professionals and their take on whether marriages would last based on their limited view of the couple during a high stress period in their lives. They thought they could and I think to some degree they are right. At some weddings you can tell that the couple just like each other, of course there is the physical attraction, but mostly they enjoy being together. Sometimes it's all about the physical attraction and I must admit I feel like a voyeur at times with those couples and it's very uncomfortable for me. Weddings are an interesting affair and it's interesting to be witness to someones special day. It's interesting to meet the family and feel the dynamics and be a fly on the wall documenting so much. I hope you enjoy these pics of my latest weddings. Enjoy, Amy

May Wedding

I've decided I really like doing candids, I get to take the fun pictures that have a little personality. The wind was blowing this day and her veil would not

stay put, it was fun to try and get interesting shots with it. Amy

Heffa

So I've been writing a lot for the local paper. It has been a fun adventure. I only wished it paid more. I think I like meeting new people and finding out about them and learning new things, it is always interesting. This picture is of Heffa Tuita, he is on Nickolodeon's Dancing on Sunset and probably the closest I'll get to a celebrity here in Spanish Fork, unless you count the stars of High School Musical, which I haven't met but have heard are very nice. We met at a local coffee/sandwich place and I took this and did the interview, he's a sweet kid and I hope he goes far in his chosen profession.
