The Joys of photoshop

So what have I been up to? It seems that I'm hit or miss with this but I'm hoping to get better about posting. The month of March found me tuning up my photoshop skills. If someone tells you they don't post process, which means they don't work the pictures over after they've taken them, they're probably lying. Most photographers post process in some way, color adjustments, exposure adjustments, making eyes sparkle etc. The class was phenominal and I met some awesome photographers that are working here. So the next couple posts will be what I've been practicing, and of course let me know if you want to set up a photoshoot. Love, Amy

Another cute little girl

My neighbor had her little girl almost exactly a month before we had ours. We planned to take pictures and took the chance on Valentine's Day. She was such a good girl and we had fun posing her in all sorts of outfits. The light was perfect and we had a spectacular time playing dress up. Thanks Steph! Love, Amy

I'm back

The silly kiddos

I think the flower may be as big as her head, it's still cute, thanks Autumn!!

Oh it's so nice to not be pregnant. We welcomed our newest bundle the end of January and I finally had the energy to do our baby photo shoot. My neighbor came by and I took pictures of her new baby as well, we had a good time. The kids enjoyed taking turns holding the baby and of course posing. Enjoy our cute baby, Amy

Lockharts at the Lotus Temple

My Friends the Lockharts asked me to do some pictures of just the kids, so we decided to go to the local Krishna Temple here in Spanish Fork, UT. It looks rather impressive from the road and while there were some fun places to take pictures, they charged us $20 and it was a little dirty (mostly bird poop, which little children don't like to sit on, even if it's dry) It was fun and I'm almost done with all of the pictures, but here are my favorites so far. Enjoy ALS

Fall Family fun

The last couple of weeks I've enjoyed taking family pictures, it's been such a fun time. The kids have been great and the weather has been perfect, especially in November and only 50 degrees. A neighbor and their family asked me to take pictures, which was fun, the kids were so cute. My sister-in-law and her family celebrated Thanksgiving together and I got to take their pictures. My cousins live in Provo and I got to take their pictures as well. It's been a busy couple of weeks! Hope you enjoy them. Amy

More fall fun

It's fall and my busiest time of year for family photos. I haven't done any weddings lately, which is good because the more pregnant I get the less I want to chase after a bride and groom. Chasing after a family is much more fun and a little less tiring, plus kids will only smile for so long so it's usually a quick shoot. Here's a starter picture, I took my friends family to the local trail and at the end we got this picture, I like that it's a little dark and you can get the feel of the night coming on with your best buddies. I only processed the one last night and will post more when I get them done. I really liked the feel of it so tell me what you think. Thanks, Amy

Fall Fun

So my husband has jokingly called this one "frustration" if you look closely you can see a fishing lure stuck in a tree. I waited to try and get a fish jumping out of the water but they were feeling camera shy. Oh well, I still like the reflection and the unused lure waiting for the nonexistent bite.

Setting the self timer and getting my pregnant self into a well composed picture was a bit of a challenge, but I love the light in this picture and everyone is mostly happy.

My cute DD found this leaf and loved it, I love her expression.

This is the cute Gasaway family, they were so fun to shoot.

The Tompsons were also a great shoot. The kids did really well smiling for the camera, it's such a hard thing to do.

Hi All,
I've had a couple of great shoots recently. I took pictures of the Thomson Family and the Gasaway Family and then did our own family pictures. I had such a fun time with each family, their pictures turned out great and I'm excited to keep doing more. Hope you all are having a great fall. Love, Amy
