Often people ask, What should I wear for a photo shoot. That's a really good question.
First, you should always wear something you feel good in. It shouldn't be too tight, but you should feel your best, because when you feel good it will show in your pictures.
Second, avoid the matchy, matchy thing. In immediate family pictures it is important to coordinate, different colors and patterns. My favorite place to go is the hardware store. They have cards with other various complimenting colors on them. If you're stuck that's a great place to start. Different patterns and layers add depth and interest to the picture, it is important to not have too many patterns, but the mix of solids and patterns is great visually.
Some of my favorite combinations:
black, white, grey with a little red, blue or green
green and turquoise
maroon and navy blue
brown, orange, tan with a little yellow
Navy blue, grey with orange accents
